Brand Identity and Logo Development

Below are examples for a wide variety of businesses and non-profits. Each project has a short description about the process or client. Some projects are simply a logo design while others involve additional visual elements that comprise a complete identity package.   • KIDZ LOVE SOCCER

    Identity for a company that provides communities in California, Oregon, Washington and Texas with fun, organized soccer classes and camps for children ages 2 to 12 years. This logo is used on uniforms, soccer balls, banners and all business communications. The identity system also includes a typographic logo that is used in conjunction with this mark.   • BURLINGAME CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

    This logo was based on the architectural features that adorn Burlingame Avenue. There are several obelisks that feature signage at each end of a busy main street; the Chamber team liked the idea of leveraging the obelisk into a new mark. See the case study for more information.

  • BARULICH DUGONI

    This logo was created for a law firm that specializes in wealth, estate & business law. The logo was combined with a 25 year bug for their anniversary and is used for signage, print collateral, website and email usage. The logo is comprised of lowercase Bodoni letterforms. The letters create a reflection of each other; this symmetry symbolizes the close relationship that Barulich Dugoni shares with their clients.

  • THE EDGE

    The EDGE is an initiative of San Mateo’s Chamber of Commerce, which is committed to identifying and overcoming obstacles to economic growth in San Mateo. The Chamber wanted something that reflected their mission, edgy but still legible.

  • BURLINGAME HIILLSBOROUGH HISTORY MUSEUM

    This logo was designed for our local museum in Burlingame and Hillsborough. The simplified vector rendering is the Burlingame train station that houses the collection.

  • BOLTWOOD CAPITAL MANAGEMENT

    The firm wanted a logo that was linked to the Bay Area of Northern California. This mark represents the cables of the Golden Gate Bridge, but also signifies the upward nature of growth in your financial investments over time (as a bar chart shows an increase in net worth).

  • PRECISION FITNESS

    David Bernavich, a local fitness trainer needed a new site and new logo. This logo expresses the active nature of his business and also represents a PF in an abstract form. David uses this logo on a wide variety of communication platforms such as social media, his website and email blasts. See the case study for more information.

  • SAN FRANCISCO ARCHERS

    We have worked with this non-profit for over 10 years. The One Million B.C. Shoot is a large event where archers shoot at large 3D dinosaurs over the course of two days. This logo leverages the SF Archer’s mark but replaces the center with a Tyrannosaurus. See the case study for more information.

  • HRH ARCHITECTURE

    The strong classic letterforms are indicative of a structure; the underlying type symbolizes a foundation for a building. The verticality of letters and their closeness are symbolic of the strength of design and cooperation.

  • PRECYSE

    We created the identity system for a technology start up that focuses on connected devices using RFID technology, otherwise known as the “internet of things”. This flexible identity system uses a variety of colors to brand product lines.

  • PORTLAND WINE PROJECT

    This Portland wine company needed a logo for their new building. The leaf from a grape vine creates a focal point for the mark.

  • DIABLO PROSTHETICS & ORTHOTICS

    The partners of this practice wanted the logo to reflect Mt. Diablo since it’s near their office locations and especially since it’s the name of the business.

  • RFID SOLUTION CENTER DAYTON

    The chip for Radio-frequency identification was the inspiration for the logo. The tags contain electronically stored information; the logo and typography tell this story as well as the location of the facility itself.

  • PAINT & PIXELS

    This logo was created for an art show at Indiana University of Pennsylvania for Ron and Don Donoughe. The logo was used on the catalogue as well as signage and banners for the show.

  • HOUSE CONSTUCTION

    This mark was designed for a construction company that specializes in home remodels. The slab serifs create what appears to be a bolt symbolizing the construction process, strength and quality.

  • LIFEWORK SOLUTIONS

    Betty Till is a professional coach for physicians, nurses, healthcare executives and other in leadership roles.

  • MIGHTY OAK

    A simple oak leaf coupled with a shield was the solution for this insurance company. The shield is a universal sign of protection and worked nicely with the oak leaf.

  • PARKER INSURANCE AGENCY

    The letters PIA (Parker Insurance Agency) were combined to make a simple yet original logo. Since Steve is a Farmer’s agent, we used the same color palette as the corporate logo.
